Don't they care about the safety and wellbeing of other people's animals? Don't they have pets themselves?|||Look at all of the animals getting sick on Melamine and if you don't want to read about companies that don't care about animals...then don't read about Hartz Flea Products killing pets". And Fancy Feast on the safe list of foods without Melamine was the only diet my parent's cat eats and she now suffers kidney failure and is very sick. Its all about money. They don't care about your pet, its all about the dollar signs. Only thing they are sorry for now is that they have to shell vet bill money out of their greedy grubby fat corporate fingers.
I had a great uncle who worked in the pet food industry and he never fed his pets pet food. He said that they used sick animals as well and this was many years ago. This vet's story will leave you appalled! http://www.homevet.com/petcare/foodbook.鈥?/a> I feed my pets Merrick and Innova two very high quality and somewhat expensive foods. I started that after dealing with a mystery illness in my German Shorthair Pointer who had a swollen spleen on two separate occasions and almost died and $3,500 in vet bills I have found him symptom free on that diet.
Also read about Hartz and how they killed many pets (mostly cats) and refused to take their stuff off the market. Read about all of their victims. http://www.hartzvictims.org/modules.php?鈥?/a>
Sadly big business and society as a whole is very very greedy.|||I've never heard this before, if it's true that's disgusting!|||Some people are heartless and don't have a soul! I Love animals, and have plenty of them. People are SICK I know!!
Sammi|||What they care about is the money in their pockets. The less it costs to make the food means the more they get out of each sale. Most companies get animal remains from vets and animal shelters; who are more than willing to just hand the bodies over at no cost. This is the difference between meat and meat by-products. Organs, muscles, tissue, chicken feet, cow hooves, etc, etc, etc are all considered by-products.|||its never about us or our pets to the gready butt holes. Its a cheap easy to come by meat source. I dont have the direct link but if you search the fda website you can find a huge list of foods that have the euthinasia drug in them, i have a letter from purina stating that there foods contain it in the beef forms but its through cows. other meat sourse, meat meal, or any other listing that doesnt specify the name of the meat. Plus if the rendering pot contains mostly the dead rotting cows that wernt fit for humans then it can be classified as just beef or chicken.
the nail in the coffin when it came to comercial foods, i feed mine raw now and we love it|||I heard about that and I even read about it on a web site. What they call it is Road kill. It is true.|||Eew. That's terrible. I really hope it's not true, but considering all the crazy stuff in the news about the dog food recalls, I guess it's not surprising. All the companies care about it profit. They want to make money and cut cost any way they can, so they turn a blind eye to the disgusting things that pass for food.
