Pets......?

On my lease it states" tenant shall nave no more than zero pets, however, at such time as tenant shall actually keep any such animals on the premises, tenant shall pay to landlord a pet deposit of zero dollars." this in the lease and we had a verbal agreement as well. now the landlord is trying to illegally evict us and should I call the police if he shows up harassing us. This is missouri law that landlord must give 48 hour notice before coming onto property. I'm confused, I have contacted a lawyer and he says this is illegal, just somemore feedback would be great.|||The landlord is allowed on his property anytime, just not inside the house. He has to give notice, not obtain your permission, to enter the house itself.

I am not sure what you are talking about being illegal.

If you have a pet of any kind he can legally evict you via the contract you agreed to. This is perfectly legal, as you already agreed to it.

The police will not do anything other then witness for him as he isn't breaking any laws. Evicting you is not "harassment".|||Help Me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!鈥?

|||So do you have a pet living with you? The contract does say you should have no pets, which means the owner doesn't want animals inside his/her property, and you were made aware of that upon signing the contract. Now you want to question the owner's rights in this? What about you broke the contract agreement, and they want you out. I would do the same thing.|||if you didn't have something in writing saying you could have a pet, then you will lose|||Are you being evicted because you have a pet? The language you listed seems to say that you are allowed to have zero pets. Having one appears to be a violation of the lease, no matter what your landlord said. Verbal statements are trumped by written ones in real estate.
