Other than using rat traps is there another way to kill rats that isn't toxic to young children or family pets?|||You can try driving them off by using sonic devices or putting out trays of ammonia. Another thing you can try is putting out cotton balls soaked with peppermint oil.|||Get yourself some beer, night vision goggles, a pistol with a laser sight, and some snake shot cartridges.
Oh, and a comfortable lawn chair.
Stay up late, and watch for Rats. Blast them on site. The snake shot will eradicate the rat, but won't penetrate sheetrock, so you don't risk shooting a neighbor or anything. If a cat gets in the way, blast it too. (cats suck, and if yours cant keep rats away, it double sucks)
Make sure the first couple of beers are a good quality. If you are going to stay up all night, you should at least have good beer.
God bless|||You can put out live traps. They're a little more expensive and won't kill the rats, but they'll get stuck inside so you can get rid of them.
