How does a vet assistant handle the pets owners when they bring their pet to be put to sleep?

As a vet tech or vet assustant what are u suppose to say or do for a pets owner when they are emotional over euthanizing their pet or an emergency???|||I would just try to be as calm and polite as possible. It's a sad thing to lose something you love, just give them lots of care and compassion. Try to encourage them to think positive because this is obviously good for their pet. I hope this helped. :)
